Registration for Michigan Shifting Gears' Fall 2012 program (Cohort 12) is open. If you, or someone you know, is an experienced professional who is: currently going through a career transition, preparing to transition careers, re-entering the workforce after some time away, wanting to change industries, or just know there's something more than what you're doing now, your time is NOW.

Two prerequisites must be completed before being eligible to participate in the program: watch a 45-minute informational program overview, and then take part in a follow-up question and answer session led by one of the Michigan Shifting Gears program facilitators. There are seven available Q & A sessions to choose from.

City of Detroit residents ages 18-21 can take part in safety training program beginning August 20
Young Detroit residents in need of employment can take part in a FREE four-week Construction/Demolition safety training for residents ages 18-21. This industry pays $10-$38.00 per hour based on prevailing wage projects. There is guaranteed employment for all successful program finishers.
