Finger Lakes Community College will offer two six-week ballroom and Latin dance classes in downtown Canandaigua this fall in which participants get to vote on which dances to learn.

The Beginner Ballroom/Latin Combo class, for those with no dance experience, will run Saturdays, Sept. 8 to Oct. 13, from 11 to 11:55 a.m. The class will vote on which dances to learn. Choices are: merengue, swing, rumba, salsa, cha cha, foxtrot, waltz and tango.

The Intermediate Ballroom/Latin Combo class, for couples who have a little experience in partner dancing, will run Mondays, Sept. 10 to Oct. 15, 7 to 7:55 p.m. The class will vote on dances to work on; choices are same as the beginner list with the addition of samba, quickstep and Viennese waltz.

FLCC dance classes will be held at the Jazzercise studio, 177 S. Main St., Canandaigua. The cost is $75 per person. Contact Charlene Fairman in the FLCC Professional Development and Continuing Education Office at (585) 785-1660 or
