Musician Richie Stearns and FLCC alumnus Caleb Spaulding will be the featured performers in Finger Lakes Community College’s Honoring the Muse arts series Wednesday, Oct. 17.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. in Stage 14 on the second floor of the FLCC Student Center, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive in Canandaigua. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $2 at the door and free for FLCC students with college ID.
Multi-instrumentalist Richie Stearns is a longtime fixture in the Ithaca and Trumansburg area. He has been a member of numerous bands, including The Horseflies and The Evil City String Band, and he has collaborated musically with Natalie Merchant, Jim Lauderdale and Hank Roberts. As a solo performer, Richie has produced two albums.  
Also on the bill is FLCC alumnus Caleb Spaulding ’11, a singer-songwriter in his own right. He is currently performing in the Philadelphia area with his band, Caleb Spaulding and the Historical Society.
Honoring the Muse, now in its sixth year, is a performance and lecture series sponsored by the FLCC Honors Studies program that brings artists, academics and audiences together.
