On Tuesday (8-21-12), between 2:30 P.M. & 4 P.M., a Home-Invasion took place in the 19300 block of Appoline. The perpetrators were seen driving a Red Truck, that they backed into the victims driveway. The thieves knocked on the door to see if anyone was at home, then they broke into the home from the driveway-side window. The thieves took (2)-flat screen tv's. They exited through the back-door of the home.
Residents on Appoline are extremely upset because the Detroit Police never responded/ came out to the scene of the crime. The officer who took the report was extremely nonchalant about the matter. The officer only gave a Report # and that was it. Appoline residents feel that the Police should have come out to the Crime Scene and taken fingerprints and collected evidence (screwdriver left @ scene).
